Heidi Humphrey, Client Experience Director

Heidi Humphrey

Client Experience Director

“The client experience is the most important differentiator for us.”

Heidi Humphrey’s background in charitable fund raising and marketing provided a smooth, logical, rewarding transition when she entered the wealth management profession, for one simple reason: “Many of our clients are passionate about philanthropy, and they are very active in their communities — just like U.S. Bank,” she says.

Today, as the Client Experience Director for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management, Heidi is responsible for building positive relationships across and among teams in U.S. Bank and with high net worth clients. As a key member of the leadership team, Heidi works closely with executive management, wealth management teams in all of the Private Wealth Management offices nationwide, and with the Voice of the Customer Office — an organization in U.S. Bank that is committed to building a world-class, client-centric culture.

Heidi has been working in wealth management marketing and client relations fields since 1999. She joined U.S. Bank in 2008. Previously, she was a marketing manager at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Heidi began her career in philanthropy as a charitable fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. She has also worked for The United Way and the Cowles Media Foundation in the Twin Cities.

Heidi’s approach to work is informed by something she learned from a valued mentor. “My mentor taught me to show up and speak the truth,” she says. “If you’re going to add value to an organization or to a relationship, you have to be engaged and willing to advocate for what you believe. That’s all part of being authentic with people.”

Education and community involvement
Heidi graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a Bachelor’s degree in history and communications. She has taken graduate courses at the University of St. Thomas Master’s of Business Communication Program.

Heidi volunteers for the The Sanneh Foundation, a 501(c)3 youth development organization that provides life skills programs for at-risk children, using soccer as the catalyst to empower kids, improve lives and unite communities. She also supports the Jeremiah Program, a non-profit organization that provides single mothers and their children with safe, affordable housing, quality early childhood education, life skills training and support for career-track education.
