Anne Donahue

Market Leader, New York

“I have learned that creating genuine connections with people is the most critical ingredient for success. Our New York City team is committed to just this type of focus to connect with our clients and community.”

As a high school student, Anne Donahue excelled at academics, cross country running and a 35-hour-a-week job. Anne has always been a hard worker who is energized by the challenge of juggling multiple activities. Today, she relishes her role as a Market Leader in U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management.

Based in New York, Anne leads a team of wealth management professionals who provide Investment Management, Private Banking, Trust and Estate Services, and Wealth Planning for clients from Boston to Washington, D.C.

Anne joined U.S. Bank in 2009 after gaining diverse experience and increasingly responsible positions with JPMorgan Chase, Citibank and BNY Mellon. “I’ve had the opportunity to help manage change for my clients over the course of my 25 years in financial services,” she says. “I’ve served my clients as the wealth management business has evolved from a single contact to a team-based advisory model. By nature, I like helping people work toward their goals. Wealth management has been a perfect career fit for me.”

While professional credentials, good judgment and a willingness to do the right thing are all extremely important characteristics for any wealth management professional, Anne believes that creating genuine connections with people may be the most critical ingredient for success.

“Nothing is more important to our success than the quality of people we hire, how we work together as a team and how we demonstrate to our clients that we are here to serve them,” she notes. “I had a great mentor who demonstrated that to me every day. No matter how busy he was, when he was with a client, that client knew that he or she was the most important person to him at that moment. I try to emulate that same personal focus and connection in my work, whether I’m meeting with clients or leading employees.”

Education and community involvement
Anne earned her MBA in international finance and economics from New York University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Providence College in Rhode Island and is a graduate of the International Management Program at Hautes Etudes Commercialies in Jouy-en-Josas, France. Anne is also a Certified Financial Planner™.

She is on the board of trustees of the Heisman Memorial Trophy and a member of Women United in Philanthropy. She also chairs the investment committee for Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, Connecticut.
