As Market Leader for The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank in Kentucky, Tennessee and Entertainment & Pro Sports Steve directs a team of wealth management professionals who have responsibility for providing Investment Management, Private Banking, Trust and Estate Services and Wealth Planning for clients. He also leads The Reserve’s national Entertainment and Professional Sports Group, which serves the unique wealth management needs of professional entertainers and athletes.
Steve worked in consumer banking before moving to private banking and joining U.S. Bank in 1997. With almost three decades of experience, he works hard to share his perspective with the other professionals on his team.
“We’re side-by-side with clients dealing with important life issues, so we need to be sure we bring the best ideas and strategies to produce the best possible outcome,” he notes. “This is challenging, rewarding work. An important part of my job as Market Leader is to help my team appreciate how fortunate we are to do this work with clients.”
Steve credits many of his life lessons to his parents. “My parents owned a retail business that had many years of success,” he continues. “I learned a lot from my mom and dad, about working hard to develop something to benefit your family — it takes commitment, and integrity. Those are things I strive for every day.”
Community involvement and education
A personal experience led Steve to become involved with the Tennessee March of Dimes. Before he was two, Steve’s son was hospitalized for a time. This experience connected Steve to other families who were dealing with significant medical issues.
“Today, I see families whose children are directly benefitting from research money raised through the March of Dimes, and I know that the hard work of this organization is making a difference.”
Steve earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking and the Tennessee School of Commercial Lending at Vanderbilt University.
