“We have an organization with tremendous talent. My job is to lead in a way that lets our people show their genius and bring value to our clients.”
U.S. Bank Wealth Management President Mark Jordahl takes a big picture view. “The best services today are holistic, focused not simply on money but on family impact. I love sitting down with families, devising strategies to help them realize the purpose of their wealth.” Under Mark’s leadership, U.S. Bank delivers comprehensive wealth management services to clients who have investable assets of $100,000 to more than $100 million.
Mark’s business acumen and leadership skills are reflected in his three decades of financial services experience. As Chief Investment Officer for FAF Advisors, he was responsible for managing the award-winning First American Funds and institutional and high-net-worth accounts. Earlier in his career, he was President and Chief Investment Officer of ING Investment Management Americas and Chief Investment Officer of ReliaStar Financial Corp.
“I was in my 30s when the CEO of ReliaStar promoted me to CIO, responsible for half of the company’s revenue and its entire investment portfolio. Clearly, he saw more in me than I did in myself at that time. It was a great example of how a mentor nurtures talent and creates opportunities for people to shine. That’s what I try to do now. We are an organization with tremendous talent. My job is to let our people show their genius and bring value to our clients.”
