Respect, Dignity, Compassion
With more than 25 years of consulting with high net worth individuals and families, Mary Justice brings deep experience, judgment and great energy to her role as Seattle Market Leader for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management. Here, she directs a team of wealth management professionals who are responsible for providing Investment Management, Private Banking, Trust and Estate Services and Wealth Planning services to clients.
Mary joined U.S. Bank from Marsh Private Client Services, where she led asset protection consulting and insurance services as Senior Vice President for the Pacific Northwest region. She also has held senior management positions with U.S. Trust, Union Bank Wealth Management and the Laird Norton Trust Company. Much of Mary’s work as a leader has focused on asset management, trust services and financial planning for multi-generation families and multi-family office organizations.
“I enjoy working with clients to help them work toward their dreams and aspirations,” she says. “After all, financial wealth is really just the engine that drives larger principles and values pertaining to family, legacy and community.”
Mary has always believed in treating people with respect and dignity. After more than two decades of working with families, as well as experiencing the passing of a loved one, she believes more than ever in the importance of fully engaging with people in an authentic manner.
“There is nothing more important than being in the moment and giving another person all of your attention and compassion,” she continues. “I try to do this with my family and friends, my co-workers and our clients. That’s how you create and sustain real relationships.”
Education and community involvement
Mary earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
A passionate supporter of the arts, Mary currently serves on the Seattle Opera Board of Trustees and on the board of Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Previously, she served for six years on the Board of Directors for The Arts Fund, where she helped to raise money to support numerous local arts organizations.
